Wow! Darius Kaleb gets a web show. Below find what Darius Kaleb says about his new show: As and actor, you are always playing characters of others. You don't always get to play your dream character or maybe you do. With the webshow I can. Now I will get to bring some topics to the show that are of interest to my community and me personally. I also want to use it as a platform to introduce new talent. I have friends that are in the industry that will surely join me but I want to open the door to new talent that's just starting out. Having this opportunity is very important! We are young and have so much to say. My schedule is quite busy (I am very thankful for that) but I will be dedicated to doing quality shows with substance. I also want to use the webshow to talk about topics such as health and wellness, homelessness, self-esteem and empowerment. It is important to me to use my (limited) status to help others less fortunate. It is my goal to get experts on the show and eventually sponsors. In the future, we will be doing showcases and short films and plays. It is just the beginning! Stay tuned! ~ Darius Kaleb By: Daniella Krishma The ten year old who has taken broadway by storm, by playing super icons like: Micheal Jackson, Stevie Wonder and Berry Gordy Jr. says, he's out to "change the face of Hollywood." The adorable mega-talented Kaleb, portrayed the young: Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder and Berry Gordy Jr., in the hit Broadway Play, Motown The Musical. The original cast member split the 8 shows a week in NYC. The broadway play, tells the story of how Berry Gordy Jr. started Motown with artist like: Smokey Robinson, Marvin Gaye, the Supremes, The Jackson 5's, Temptations, 4 Tops, Martha Reeves, Mary Wells, Contours and other early Motown artist. It also touches on a love relationship that GordyJr. and Diana Ross developed. The Charismatic ten year old, who was the youngest in the cast, was known for his mesmerizing moves and uncanning vocals of the iconic young MJ. According to comments left on his facebook fan page, fans and show-goers often left comments about how they thought they were transported back in time and thought the King of Pop , had somehow come back to life on the stage. When asked of Kaleb what is next? He eargly said, " I want to change the face of Hollywood." Kaleb, admits that competition is steep in this business but he is not worried. He feels that hard work, dedication to your craft, manners, a love for what you do and a non-entitlement attitude will set him apart. Kaleb says, "He is tired of Hollywood hiring kid talent, that portray bad behavior and want the rest of us to think of them as "mentors." They aren't mentors to young kids, when they are out getting in to trouble and setting bad examples. "Hollywood!!!" he screams!! "There are to many up and coming talent who want the job and will honor their craft and status. We are losing my generation to drugs, suicide, and poor judgements. These kids grow up to be adults that continue to have these problems and carry them into relationships that (eventually) effect kids like me. I know Hollywood wants to use a name that they think will sell their movies, tv shows, films or records but "come on", it is so much "good talent" out there, that I don't think Hollywood would be compromising. "Try me Hollywood," Try me; says the "adorable" Kaleb. Oh, and I have friends who are talented also, he laughs. |
